Music: A Conversation & A half

My soul lifts up, slowly as the beat take controls of my body. Slowly, then quickly and then slowly again. Lost in the tunes, every time the tune plays it becomes fused in every bone of my bone, bloodstream, and state of mind. A reaction following suit to the beat…When music comes on it is a scene of weird gestures and sounds.

Tap, clap, yell… Sway side to side resonating with the beat… OH YESS, WOOHOO…

Even if the language is foreign or I don’t know the lyrics, music has a way to speak to us. Am I right? Music is more than just a beat and words, it is a part of life. It shares our sorrow, love, joy, confusion and any emotion you think about! Music is a slice of our daily heaven. Even while I’m penning this article, I’m listening to some “Jhene Aiko” tunes. Even buses, taxis or cars blast music and if not you see people with their earphones plugged.

It is really fascinating how music comes together with our daily routines. A mystery I tend to uncover…

The Music That Is Music...

Music creates an atmosphere, connections, and oneness. Ever wondered why many events incorporate music in their shows? Well, I hope to debunk that mystery. Bear with me… Music speaks to our emotions, whether it is happiness, sadness, memories, pain, dreams, stories, challenges and victories. You can literally have a song for every mood.

If you are short of words to start a conversation music diversity can do the trick for you. If you feeling low, demotivated, discouraged; put on some music! It brings moments of reflections and bursts of inspiration. That is how spectacular the force of music is, causing every part of us to become infinitely more alive than usual.

Feel…Live…Connect

Ever listened to a song that filled your heart with joy or hunger for success? I’m here to tell you, music is a powerful tool and only when we realize its power we can use it to our own benefit. Music can inspire…Music can soothe…Music can heal… Everyone asks questions and through the power of words music answers. Studies have shown that when you hear music to your liking, the brain releases a chemical called dopamine that has positive effects on mood. It even has the power to improve your health and well-being.

Quick Music Hacks

  1.  It improves mood by regulating emotions. Creates happiness and relaxation. Imagine just as simple like that…
  2. Reduce stress and anxiety. The more relaxed you are and happy, you flush out negative vibes and energy.
  3. Improve exercise. Ever bumped into a person running with their earphones plugged in? Or watched Zumba? The common denominator is usually music, The reason being it enhances aerobic exercise, boost mental and physical stimulation.
  4. Improves memory. I remember growing up I knew all words of the Power Fm advert and my Mom would scold me if only I remembered as much my school work. So music in that repetitive rhythm and melody help our brains form patterns that enhance memory.
