If You Don't Empower The Girl Child Now, So When?
You knew it could burn but stretched arm's length for an embrace.
You felt the heat inside out, Heart Burn!
But, you still basked in its full blaze.
You knew it was a trap wrapped in good aesthetics,
A beautiful painting hung to sway you in.
I gotta give it to you, you got a big heart,
Enough to go around even where it's not wanted.
So do you cry or scold yourself when the pain it's self-inflicted?
How do you tell your story?
Do you complain? Do you ask for help?
It feels like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
'You got yourself into this.' 'You got yourself into this.'
Runs an emotional race at the back of your mind.
Now, these 7 words make you feel ashamed & not worthy crying out for help.
You repeat it to yourself to put you to sleep.
A lullaby self-composed, 'You got yourself into this.'
"Always follow your instinct." Why didn't you follow your instinct?
Ooh, you just one naive girl.
Seeing good in everything and everyone.
Amicable to the devil incarnate.
But do you cry or drown in self-pity when it's self-inflicted?
'You got yourself into this.'
Often times the girl child gets in sticky situations unwillingly or willingly. Regardless of whether you take a fair share of the blame, it's important to keep your power and not render it to the 'devil'. If it gives the spotlight to your weakness and sits your confidence and self-worth in the sidelines. Let it go! No matter the situation, don't let it steal your voice, speak up and get help.

"I hope more people take time from their busy schedules to support and help in maintaining "Girl Child Education" in their village, city, town, and country. If each one of us does a little bit then we all can make a change for better." Avijeet Das
