I am A Whirlwind



I huff and puff but you only see me from a distance
You feel pity for others but you never dream I will pick you up.
I am a whirlwind, I grow slowly lifting only the gravel.
You see me from a 10mile radius, I leave you a little shaken but not enough to move away.
I am a whirlwind I move by the wind so you will never see me coming.

Before you know it, I am there like a cool summer breeze that creates humour by lifting girls’ skirts. Harmless as I may seem don’t take me for granted because remember I am a whirlwind.
Suddenly I gain momentum and before you know you are in the sky no control of your life, I am spinning the life out of you and just as you are about to give upon life, I drop you without remorse leaving you to die with broken bones.

I am a whirlwind and like my name I move with the wind so don’t think I will wait with remorse to help you lick your wounds; I am onto my next 10-mile radius.

I am a whirlwind.

📸the.photographers.official  I’m a girl who has always been one of the guys, but also very much a girl; I don't really blend perfectly into either sides. Sounds familiar? Welcome to the club. I remember growing up, I would pick soccer or wrestling over playing with dolls. Hanging with the guys over girls. I still choose sweat pants and t-shirts over dresses. It’s apparently thought as unladylike in most parts of the world or rather a glorified brainwash to instil gender roles. After a couple of family interventions, a wardrobe revamp and shipping off to college I slowly embraced it. Because unfortunately the, ‘She will grow out of it’ seemed like it was never going to happen. 📷 Hulst Wilson It was a summer morning the smell of the fresh coffee brewing filled the air – the chill breeze and the scent of the clean-shaven glass. The shrieking clock slapped me back to reality, it was time to begin adulting. For so long I was living with my parents and feeding off them. The day has dawned for me to journey into a land of no hope – job hunting ! It had become known that jobs were for the privileged and the well-connected fellas. But this didn’t mess my mantra and optimism . What a shame everyone was caught up in the web of corruption and nepotism. Tick tock… The clock sang a song of hope. I had clothes bought specially for this day rather for the last time it came from my parents’ pension.
