I Told Myself...

In Her Thoughts: I Told Myself...

Every moment in this beautiful life we live feels like crunch time and we are constantly bound to make decisions that will bind us for the rest of our lives. I told myself that for every moment I am going to make a decision I am going to accept the outcome either good or bad.

Life is never the same every minute, it has got its ups and downs so I told myself I am going to live it the best way I can.

I have been faced with challenging situations that at some point in time I wasn't bold enough to even think of a future. I thought I had lost it but then I told myself the promise upon my life was made already I am going to pull through.

It feels awkward at times to speak positively upon a bad situation but the thing is what you tell yourself is what you believe in and that is good enough to make tables turn for the greater good.

Life from my own point of view can be a tale of tells.

When I found myself crying, I told myself worries are not going to last for long and I dried my tears.

When I was out of control making bad decisions ruining my life I told myself I can still bring my old self: the dream chaser and I took the right steps to clean the house.

When I found myself in front of everyone at the center of the stage catching a stage fright, I told myself that if I am the one standing here it means I am the perfect person to deliver the performance and gained some momentum.

When I found myself worried sitting on a low corner thinking where I was going to find some food to eat, I told myself food don’t just sit, get up and do the hunt.

When I found myself at the peak of doing it big and felt the presence of enemies and comments intimidating me, I began to doubt myself. I told myself every rocking show should be graced with an audience either good or bad so I raised my shoulders up high and rocked the show.

When I found my money falling short to cover my bills and stressing out, I told myself that my bill for just living this beautiful life I live was being paid for in advance so be thankful and be at ease.

So it’s like I am constantly moving around with my inner SELF by my side allowing myself to be human enough and take the experiences in life head-on, making both good and bad decisions. But at the end of the day allowing my inner SELF to tell a tale of every moment. We were born to free our imaginations and tell ourselves words that no one else voices.

I would love to make a reference from the bible in the book of John 1 vs. 1 it reads, “in the beginning, there was the word and the word was with God and the Word was God.” I got the picture of how the word of mouth can have the power to create. All the things that came after for the world to exist were just a matter of commanding vocally let there be light, let there be land and it was. If u grow a habit of telling yourself positive things you will create good things for yourself and speak things into existence in your life.

If you compliment someone it creates confidence in them and when they look in the mirror they will see themselves worthy of compliments and happiness. So basically if you say someone positive to someone you will create awareness and build resilience in some situations that’s why I told myself that I can tell someone what I tell myself to make things happen.

  2. I believe it's always great to start with the inner person, staying positive & that way it becomes easy to impart it on others
